L'été

With 670 kilometres of signposted trails, the Massif du Sancy offers hiking for all levels across a variety of terrain.

For mountain bikers, descent trails are signposted. You can transport your mountain bike on the Mont Dore cable car and the Capuccin funicular. Those who enjoy fishing can dedicate themselves to their favourite activity on the Massif du Sancy's many streams and rivers. A fishing license is required.

Les amateurs de pêche pourront s'adonner à leur loisir dans les nombreux ruisseaux et rivières du Massif du Sancy. Ami pêcheur, la carte de pêche est obligatoire.

The Mont-Dore has a par 68 9-hole golf course and a practice range at 1,100 metres in altitude.

Come enjoy the rock climbing! Volcanic cliffs offer countless equipped paths (for beginners or experienced climbers) in remarkable settings.

L'hiver

Ski

Come ski on the highest volcano in Auvergne: The Puy du Sancy, 85 kms of downhill slopes which connect to Super-Besse. The Mont Dore also offers 39 kms of cross-country ski trails.

In addition to skiing…

You can try out the luge on two fully-equipped, secure tracks. One track is reserved specifically for young children.

Enjoy a snowshoe hike far from the slopes and the skiers. Explore the mountain in a different way at your own pace.

Hikers can also enjoy many kilometres of signposted trails which are accessible in winter.

For those who love horseback riding and snow-covered landscapes, the Mont Dore equestrian centre offers horseback excursions through the snow.

Within 200 metres of the hotel you'll also find an ice rink (900 m2 of ice), a bowling alley and a casino.
